Pictures of van! 08/14/2009

The van is actually very nice – I’ll post a few pictures.  Drove back great – put new brakes on and will have the shocks checked.  Peggy calls it the Scooby Van.

I continue to lose strength and standing, getting out of a chair, bathing – well just about everything is very difficult.  Going to check into a nurse coming to the house X hours a week.  The kids have been great visiting all the time and Peggy will not leave me home by myself.  I never thought when I was diagnosed that ALS would move this quickly.

Hi friend,
That does look like the Scooby van. Glad that it is working well for you. I think of you and Peggy often. I was so sad on the loss of Geri Traino. Gosh this diseae SUCKS.... Sorry that your bosses were not helpful, I wish you the best with this stuff. You sure do not deserve any other stress..Trust me you, als is enough on it's own.

Hi Jim

Van looks cool a bit of freedom for you both. Hope Peggy enjoyed the Mile. We went a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I'm so sorry your employers are treating you this way as you say if ALS isn't enough you have all the other rubbish to contend with. Good luck with sueing them hope you get a speedy conclusion. We will be in the US and of August. Not with Joan and Rene have to wait till January to see them again. We are off to Vegas and hope to see the Grand Canyon whilst we are there.
Take care love to you all
Lxx

Jim,
I think of you and Peggy often and wish there was some way I could be of help. I am glad that you've got the website up. (I think it was down for a few weeks??) I'm glad too that Avery Margaret is doing better.

The optimism and courage you're displaying is an inspiration to everyone. It's not much solace I bet but in the face of the terrible disease you're confronting I hope it gives you some comfort.

Love,
Richard

Hi Jim,
Just returned from San Antonio visiting my sister; boy is hot down there. I wanted to let you know I was thinking of you as I do often. I am glad to hear your grandaughter is doing well. I'll always remember that evening at ACC out on the patio when you were giving it to Danielle, you probably don't even remember, but you were so funny that evening you had me in stitches. Interesting the things you remember about someone that seems so insignificant at the time. By the way you won the M/M for us that year not Adam as he always professed!
